Valentines is a gem of a shop and in some ways reminiscent of a small department store in that it stocks such a huge range of items for both men and women. It’s also a bit of a tardis inside with a series of interconnecting rooms and a second floor too. Harrisons Fine Wine
Harrisons is an independent wine merchant with a huge variety of stock from across the world with almost as large a price range to match it, although you may be surprised to know that they can give supermarket prices a run for their money! They have wines from the Old World, the New World and more unusual countries which you may not think of as being a wine producing country such as the Lebanon. Try one from Chateau Musar, whose range of wines are described by Decanter Magazine as being “stellar”.
Harrisons friendly and knowledgeable staff know their stuff and are very helpful and informative and happy to make suggestions or recommendations. They are also not stuffy about price point so don’t be afraid to say how much you are wanting to spend.

Chose from a range of off the shelf shoes, socks, ties, neck scarves, kilt pins, cufflinks, cross body bags, baseball caps and much more. Even if you are not a whisky lover the hour long tour around Glenturret Distillery is fascinating, it is also the oldest continually working distillery in Scotland.
There are different tours to chose from, starting with the Distillery Experience which takes visitors though the whisky making process from beginning to end, using hand operated, time honoured methods, at the end of the tour visitors will have the opportunity to sample two different whiskies.
